RESERVED - Rhodonite and Marquise Shaped Rose Quartz Necklace

Rhodonite and Marquise Shaped Rose Quartz Necklace - Challenges. I have been following several artists online who have made challenges for themselves. The challenge I posed to myself was to craft as many pieces of jewelry that I could using some of the most beautiful Rose Quartz beads! I had three strands - marquise, oblong, and square. Whenever I create with pink, I channel Julia Roberts sitting in her chair while Dolly Parton does her pre-wedding hair, declaring "Pink is my signature color".

While these beads look fabulous alone, I added three beautiful Rhodonite gemstone beads - with striations of pink and black throughout each bead. Two artisan lampwork rounds in jet black augment the black in the Rhodonite. Two hammered sterling silver rounds and sterling silver bead caps round out the focal area of the necklace.  The remainder of this necklace chain is comprised of these glorious Rose Quartz gemstones in a pretty marquise shape. The pictures do not do these beads justice - pale, soft, and sparkly from the inclusions. Please be sure to zoom in on the pictures!

The necklace closes securely with a simple clasp, which I forged from heavy gauge sterling silver and soldered close for added strength. The opposing ring is also soldered for strength and security.  The necklace has weight - but is not too heavy to wear. The necklace measures 21" in length.

I also made two pair of coordinating earrings also available in my shop here  or here

All metals used in this design are .925 sterling silver.

This is beautiful statement necklace to be enjoyed for years to come!
