Blue Rose Artisan Glass and Peridot Sterling Silver Pendant An exquisite art glass cabochon, by Mikelene Reusse, is the star of this sterling silver pendant. It features a spring time blue rose on its vine, surrounded by new, pale sage-green foliage - all on a pure white background. I am in awe that she made this by "drawing" her design onto the glass by using a torch and glass rods. Pure Magic by a very talented artist! The art glass is encased in an intricate sterling silver bezel, and is surrounded by a halo of patterned square wire. I added a tiny (3mm) pale green Peridot, which echos the colors of the fresh, green leaves. The shadow box-style setting has been darkened and polished by hand to achieve a beautiful patina, with the bottom layer left dark to achieve a beautiful contrast between the layers of sterling silver.
This one of a kind statement pendant measures just under 2 3/8 "in length and is just over 1 7/8" in width at its widest point. A gorgeous, 18", 2.5 mm sterling silver wheat chain - oxidized and hand polished - is included in this listing.
