Sterling Silver and Aqua Nueva Agate Pendant Necklace- About this gemstone: Agua Nueva Agate features earthy blends of brown, rust red, and green. The Agua Nueva Ranch mine is located about an hour north of Chihuahua City in Mexico. Some of the world's best agate has come from the Agua Nueva Ranch. Agate is typically found filling the cavities of volcanic rocks.
For me, it's the movement of colors that attracts me to this Agate - Mother Nature did such a wonderful job here! I wanted the setting to reflect that movement. So, the double layer sterling silver backplate has been sawed by hand in a free form fashion. The sterling silver has been darkened, and polished by hand to reveal a beautifully matte patina.

This beautiful, one of a kind pendant measures approximately 2" in length by 1 1/4" in width at its widest point. The pendant hangs from an 18", sterling silver 1.5mm box chain.
All metals used in this design are .925 sterling silver.
Jewelry is made using traditional metalworking techniques, including soldering, filing, sanding, texturing, polishing, and tumbling in my home studio. Jewelry comes wrapped in a cotton-lined gift box and ships quickly. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
