Triple Twist Sterling Silver Bangle

Triple Twist Sterling Silver Bangle-  My go-to style bracelet - the bangle. This style bangle is an experiment for me.  I took three strands of silver: one square wire, to which I slightly textured one edge, and two strands of round wire.  The strands were soldered together and twisted. This twisting is done in multiple steps of annealing the metal (heating to soften), twisting, annealing, etc.  Once twisted I made a tube of silver and soldered two jump rings to each end. Inside this tube is where the ends of the wires are soldered together for permanency.  So pleased with my little experiment - it is always a pleasure to see a design come to fruition.

I forged this bangle into an oval shape -- that's the shape of my wrist and I find this shape very comfortable to wear. It has been darkened and polished by hand to achieve a gorgeous brushed / satin patina.

This bracelet would look fabulous flying solo on the wrist, or stacked with other bracelets.

The oval bangle bracelet measures just 8 1/8" in length and the thickness of the three twisted wires is approximately 3.6mm. The inside diameter ranges from 2 5/8" wide"(it is an oval shape) to just over 2" at its "height".  Due to the thickness of the wire, its best for a small to average wrist size. (My wrist measures 6 1/2" in diameter and it fits perfectly.

All metals used in this bangle are .925 sterling silver.
