Tribal Black and White Sterling Silver Necklace - My first love in jewelry design was artisan lampwork beads. These handmade beads (by A Beaded Gift) are so fabulous - each bead is slightly different from the next. These beads remind me of batik fabric (my mother is a fabulous quilter), so I tried to give them justice. I found these amazing beads from Tibet, which are inlaid with conch shell and have silver caps - so tribal! The design is completed with artisan sterling silver beads from Bali, Indonesia. I hope you will take the time to zoom in on the photos, as the details on these beads are amazing!
I have attached two lengths of sterling silver chain, to which I have antiqued and polished. All jump rings in the chain have been soldered closed, and the necklace fastens securely with a lobster clasp.
All metals used in this design (chain, lobster clasp, bead caps, and spacer beads) are .925 sterling silver.
Jewelry is made using traditional metalworking techniques, including soldering, filing, sanding, texturing, polishing, and tumbling in my home studio. Jewelry comes wrapped in a cotton-lined gift box and ships quickly. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
