Sodalite Gemstone and Pierced Sterling Silver Pendant - This is a new-to-me technique called piercing. A design is placed on the sterling silver, and each tiny whole is hand sawn. I have been using a jeweler's saw for years now - but never to this level of exacting specifications! After each opening is sawn, great care is given to sanding and polishing Every. Single. Space. :) I believe Zen is achieved through repetition!
I have set a gorgeous faceted Sodalite gemstone in the center of the pendant - I don't think the pictures do justice - such a gorgeous deep, deep blue!
The pendant measures 2" in length by 1 3/8" at its widest point. The pendant hangs from a beautiful oxidized sterling silver, 18" box chain. The sterling silver has been finished with a beautiful matte patina.
This beautiful necklace will easily become a favorite!
All metals used in this design are .925 sterling silver.
