Rustic Blue Artisan Beads and Solid Copper Necklace

My first love...artisan lampwork beads...I keep going back for more!

Every bead made by artist Judith Billig is stunning ... and these are no exception! Blues and greens expertly blended in the flame and shaped into a bicone - a nice rustic appearance with the added touches of brown. Amazingly, these beads paired perfectly with a cylindrical focal (also glass lampwork) by artist Maryse Fritzch-Thillens - love it when that happens!

Copper was my metal of choice - the rustic patina I have added to the metal blends beautifully with the color of these beads.  Solid copper wire and chain and a handmade hook and eye closure complete the design.

All metal elements have been darkened with patina, hand buffed, and tumbled for hours to achieve incredible strength, shine, and that beautiful rustic look that makes copper a dream to wear.  Several coats of jewelry grade museum wax (Renaissance Wax) have been hand buffed onto the copper to aide in the protection of this patina.

The necklace measures 27" in length, plus the 4" drop of the focal.

Jewelry is made using traditional metalworking techniques, including soldering, filing, sanding, texturing, polishing, and tumbling in my home studio. Jewelry comes wrapped in a cotton-lined gift box and ships quickly. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

NOTE: 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this necklace will be donated to Miracle Horse Rescue, a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me help those who cannot help themselves!
