Morencini Turquoise and Sterling Silver Ring

in: Rings

Misty Blue Turquoise and Sterling Silver Ring I do not make many rings anymore....but the shape of this fabulous turquoise stone dictated its final destination as a ring.  Morenci Turquoise is mined in southeastern Arizona. It is light blue to high blue in color and has an unusual matrix of irregular black pyrite, also known as fool's gold. When polished, the pyrite often looks like silver. Please zoom in on the photos to fully appreciate this gorgeous turquoise gemstone!

Set with a serated sterling silver bazel on a heavy backplate, the turqouise is framed with flattened sterling silver granules, a sterling silver embilishment at the top, and a single 22K Gold granule at the bottom of the setting.  I fashioned a split shank for this ring, making it extremelty comfortable to wear.

The ring measures 1.69 " in length, by .82" in width at its widest point.  This one of a kind turquoise ring is sized to approximately US Ring size 6 3/4.  I am sorry - this ring cannot be resized!

All metals used in this design are .925 sterling silver and 22K Gold.

Jewelry is made using traditional metalworking techniques, including soldering, filing, sanding, texturing, polishing, and tumbling in my home studio. Jewelry comes wrapped in a cotton-lined gift box and ships quickly. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
