Double Artisan Glass Cabochon Sterling Pendant Necklace

One of my all-time favorite Glass Lampwork artists is Susan Kennedy of SueBeads. Recently, she experimented with some beads to turn them into flat-back cabochons. The two cabochons in this necklace arrived at my doorstep in the same package - I thought they looked so well together!  Almost spring-like in colors, the variations of greens and brown are just perfect neutrals for this necklace style.

Each cabochon has been set in a serrated-edged sterling silver bezel on a heavy gauge back plate. I like my jewelry to have movement, so the two pendants are joined as one by a simple ring, soldered closed for permanency.

The length of the entire pendant measures 2 3/4" and 1 1/8" at its widest point. The sterling silver pendant hangs from an 18" long, 4mm wide braided black leather cord, and fastens securely with a sterling silver lobster clasp.

The sterling silver has been buffed by hand, given a very light aged patina, buffed again, and tumbled for additional strength.

All metals used in this design are .925 Sterling Silver.

Jewelry is made using traditional metalworking techniques, including soldering, filing, sanding, texturing, polishing, and tumbling in my home studio.  Jewelry comes wrapped in a cotton-lined gift box and ships quickly.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

NOTE:  100% of the proceeds from the sale of this necklace will be donated to Miracle Horse Rescue, a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me help those who cannot help themselves!
